Gulf Oil Spill

Gabby and Laird speak their minds about the flow of oil continuing to spill into the ocean after visiting the Gulf mid June with the NRDC.

“Ocean-loving married couple Gabrielle Reece and Laird Hamilton recently toured the oil infested waters of the Gulf Coast with NRDC staff members. On a boat near Grand Isle, Louisiana, Reece and Hamilton witnessed firsthand the destruction the BP oil spill has inflicted on the natural world. They reflect about their love for the marine environment and why it’s important to protect it.”

Hi Gabby, great job on getting down to the coast and showcasing this. I have started my own campaign called Standup4GreatBear. In May i did a 400km standup paddleboard along the proposed oil tanker route here on the north coast of canada. You can keep updated on facebook page standup4greatbear and http://www.mountainsurfadventures.blogspot.com. Ty and Duke from Surftech sponsored me with a Joe Bark Expedition Board for the trip. Its been incredible and the people of canada have really responded………thanks again…..norm
